Secrets of the Pros Hockey Schools™ is a unique hockey school that caters to the high-end, triple AAA, AA A hockey enthusiasts between the ages of 5-16. We believe that the success of our program pivots on instruction of the 45-degree power hockey position, a technique that lowers the center of gravity, improves puck handling and lengthens the stride. We also focus on the physical aspect of the game where we work on body checking, puck protection, and protection of oneself. Furthermore, our product is unique in that we divide the players into position specific training, and the use of a 50-minute teaching session.

Hockey schools present players the opportunity to better their skills and prepare them for the next level. We offer a unique product and service that differs from our competition. We do more than run basic drills and baby-sit. We provide a learning environment that caters to the need of high-level players.

Brett & Brandon

Since Brett is a defensemen and Brandon a forward, they provide a different perspective on each situation being taught in the program. In many cases drills are designed to play off of each position; Brett from a defenceman's point of view and Brandon from the forward's.

Why Secrets of the Pros Hockey Schools™ ?

We restrict our program to no more than 14 skaters.

All of our instructors currently play pro hockey which helps in the overall learning process because they can see the actual skill being performed as opposed to a lot of other schools that fail to bring real life experiences to the game.

Our learning environment in everything we do focuses on one-on-one instruction; with feedback we have proven to raise the level of performance with our players.

Most importantly we have fun every time we hit the ice, this new generation of players do not want to see X's and O's they want creativity and skills that will enhance their playing ability.

What benefit would my son or daughter receive by attending multiple camps?

We, as pros, have formulated three separate programs; Pro Development, Defensive and Offensive camps during that time players can expect to achieve skills that will take their game to the next level. Adding more camps to your son or daughters summer will better complete them as a player.

What we work on at the midget and bantam levels is primarily things that the players need to work on before attending OHL, Prep School and NHL camps. By now most of the kids know how to play the game they just need fine-tuning. We work on fighting off checks, inside edges, forward and defense work in small groups, showing the kids where to shoot and when, putting themselves in better positions offensively and defensively and more. Working in small groups enables our pros to work with them individually.

Hitting - Angling, Loading and exploding
European puck handling skills
Forward and defense work in small groups
Showing the kids where to shoot and when

Different ways of entering the zone using skating; (not dumping it in)
